Welcome
Come to Building 400, which is near the main entrance and principal’s office. 8th Graders will sign in and be introduced to their team leaders for the day. They are high school juniors and seniors. There will be freshmen and sophomores on your team too, so you’ll get to know a lot of cadets.
Field Sports
Teams will play against each other in a variety of field sports. Don’t worry, you don’t need cleats or pads. There aren’t any contact sports, just lots of fun. Wear good running shoes and dress for playing on grass. If the weather is poor, we’ll play inside the gym.
Mentor Time
Team leaders will have a chance to tell you what high school is like and what it is like being a cadet. You can ask them any questions you have. They have some good advice for being successful as a freshman.
Service Project
Everyone will help clean the campus and earn one hour of Community Service, good toward graduation requirements.
Potluck
We’ll all eat lunch together. All cadets who are able will bring a dish or dessert to share. Can you bring something? If you can, wonderful!
